Funding
We need funding for the following on going costs.
Item 1 – To build more benches and desks for
the classrooms and meeting hall.
Item 2 – We still need children`s clothes and shoes, schoolbooks,
pens, paper, pencils, school uniforms of grey or black with shorts and
white shirts, for girls and boys up to the age of 16. We also need old
mobile phones in any condition with or without chargers, old laptops and
small desktop computers and only flat screen displays.
Item 3 – To finish stocking the farm with 4 more cows and crops
Item 4 – To attach micro irrigation to the water harvesting system
to alleviate the drought problems to the crops which happens twice a year.
Item 5 –To supply and fix chicken fencing and a coup for the chickens
which have been donated by Brenda King
Item 6 – To provide a vehicle for medical emergencies and carrying
produce to market.
Item 7 – We need £450 more monthly income which will
provide wages for the teachers, the farmer, pharmacist, visiting doctor/midwife
and nurses and the upkeep of an emergency vehicle to get people to hospital
for urgent medical help and also the transport of produce to neighbouring
markets. All employees at the centre would be locals who will work for
the community under the direction of a voluntary board of local elders
and led by the local head teacher, Karimba John.
