Golf Days 1st June and 28th of September

Both of the golf days were a great success and we will continue to hold these events next year. We raised over £3,000 and these funds will help to pay for the staff wages and partly for the cost of the borehole at the Community Centre which is desperately needed during the dry seasons.

Rwandan Holiday November 2010

We took to Rwanda 13 UK Adventurers to have a holiday of a lifetime and to open the Health Post. Without exception they all agreed that Rwanda is a safe and beautiful country. The double highlights of the visit was "The Gorillas in the Mist on the shrouded Vurunga mountains and the whole day spent at Musenyi meeting all the villagers and children, who have benefited from their help and then the Grand Opening of the Health Post. We also went on Safari to Akegera National Park, a trip on Lake Kivu and other trips to The Culture Village, Handicraft Centre and the Genocide Museum.

Halloween Golf Day and Ball - Sunday 31st of October 2010

On the 31st of October we had our Halloween Golf Day and Ball with The Number 1 Michael Jackson Tribute Act as our entertainment. The show was a tremendous success and everybody commented on how professional he was. The evening was completed with the Mike Rowley Disco and Lightshow. We raised about £1,500 on the night and with the very kind donations from those who could not make it we made a total of £2,100. This money has gone to the Community Centre to pay the Builder who has now completed the Health Post and we bought a Steriliser for the clinic. Carolyn Heaps kindly located and donated an Otto scope, and the Rwandan Holiday Adventurers gave us the much needed Centrifuge for the Lab.

Spring Ball and Golf Day - Sunday 11th April 2010

We all had a great day of golf and entertainment. The  golf winners were Peter and Meg James and Barry and Susan Hollands. The evening was a huge success and, as usual, the food and staff of the hotel at East Sussex National were five star. The tribute band Abba Gold entertained us with a trip down memory lane with the nostalgic hits of the 70`s and 80`s. We raised about £5,000 on the day with the help from your donations and the very successful "Silent Auction". The proceeds have gone towards the stocking of the Pharmacy and Clinic as well as the classroom and Lab alterations.
Thank you to you all for your donations on the day as well as the donations we have received from those of you who could not make the day. Please have a look at our future events and the Rwandan Holiday.

We had a very successful evening and raised about £5,000 for our Charity which will now pay for the erection of all walls, up to roof height and small percentage of construction towards the main roof. We would like to congratulate Derek Howe, the General Manager of East Sussex National Golf Resort, on not only the top quality of the course, but also for a wonderful meal and venue which was presented to us at 5* level.

Many thanks to everybody who contributed since we started in November 2007. We have raised nearly £15,000 and the community centre/school is well under way and will hopefully be finished by the middle of next year. The amount of money needed to complete the project is approximately £25,000, as of 20th January 2009. Please keep your contributions coming in and if we are successful in completing during the middle of this year, we will be able to commission the school ready for the new term in September 2009.

We are always grateful for any contribution, but if you are able to set up a standing order, this helps on a monthly basis for the running of the school and community centre when completed.

If we have not got your email, could you please send it to us as soon as possible so that we can give you all the information when available as it also cuts the cost of sending out letters and postage.
